- Prepare and implement the instructional process for students with IEPs
- Deliver instruction through the use of curriculum materials and educational software
- Develop daily lesson plans and classroom schedule that reflects state and school requirements
- Implement standards for student behavior in order to ensure a safe secure and effective learning environment by providing a high degree of structure clear expectations and consistency
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher or relevant role
- Experience working with children with a wide range of disabilities
- A bachelors degree from an accredited university is required. Masters degree is a plus
- Have or be eligible to apply for an Illinois PEL with special education (LSB1) endorsement
- Must be able to work up to 37.5 hours per week.
