Instructional Associate/ParaEducator Specialized Special Education (SY) at San Jose Unified

Salary:$23.53 per hour plus fully paid employee medical and dental benefits

The impact you will have:As an instructional associate you will assist the teacher to support our special education students in developing their academic social and life skills. We offer a variety of programs from transitional kindergarten through postsecondary. We are looking for committed professionals who will help to supervise and support student learning.

Who you are:A dedicated collaborative professional with strong communication skills who can develop successful relationships with students families and coworkers.

What you bring:

• A high school diploma or equivalentandcompletion ofoneof the following:
• Passage of the San Jos Unified Instructional Associate Assessment (view tutorialhere). This will be completed after your application and interviewor
• an Associates Degree or higheror
• two years of college (48 units)
• Prior experience working with students with special needs is preferred
• Completion of San Jos Unifieds Crisis Intervention training within 60 days of start date.
