About the Role:
Soft Labs is seeking EL2 ICT Senior Project Manager for ICT Labour hire at their technology consulting based in ACT.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver projects that may have an agency wide impact develop implement and evaluate project plans and schedules in accordance with the agency s project management framework and consider project interdependencies.
- Collaborate with staff in immediate work area and with internal and external stakeholders oversee project design governance arrangements and operational integration ensure project deliverables and milestones are met on time and within budget lead strategic planning for longer term project initiatives.
- Lead and manage staff and oversee the management of performance attendance and health and wellbeing develop staff capability through coaching and succession planning provide high level strategic advice and feedback to stakeholders and the agencys executive.
- Research review and evaluate projects within a section or specialist area report on project objectives and outputs for presentation to the executive and oversee ongoing project reporting oversee review and advise on written material including business cases plans reports executive and ministerial briefs and corporate documentation plan.
- Manage and monitor financial budgets and oversee the management of contracts procurement resources and expenditure identify assess manage escalate report and monitor project risks issues and benefits including developing treatment strategies analyse project performance and oversee quality management to ensure that project deliverables are fit for purpose and meet client needs drive innovation.
- Manage and lead change and actively contribute to and implement the agency s strategic direction engage negotiate and manage key strategic stakeholder relationships to deliver projects and respond to changes in needs and expectations.
- Represent and negotiate on behalf of the agency to advance the agencys interests at external crossagency interjurisdictional and other forums exercise delegations appropriate to role in accordance with legislation and guidelines.
Mandatory Criteria:
- Must have 35 years of experience in managing critical ICT Infrastructure projects with multiple stakeholders involved from Infrastructure and Business aspects.
- Must have experience in working with large organisation (preferability in government departments).
- An ability to work under pressure against short timescales.
- Proven track record in leading technical teams and managing crossdisciplinary technical programs from project definition to product delivery/demonstration.
Weighted Criteria:
- Ability to contribute to agencys continuous improvement by improving systems processes and tools related to project management and reporting.
- Excellent Stakeholder management and ability to collaborate and communicate effectively that contributes to a crossfunctional team development pipeline.
- Experience tracking a complex ICT project and providing support to clear blocking issues.
- Familiarity with AGILE methodology and project tracking.
- Ability to produce talking points project documentation and undertake research and issue resolution independently and as directed by the Program SRO and Delivery Lead.
