Job Description

Job Title: Director of Nursing

Location: Vancouver WA 98686

Salary: $111000 $150000 (depending on experience)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team in Vancouver WA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Behavioral Health/Psychiatric Health and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of nursing care within the facility. This leadership role requires a highly motivated individual with a passion for patient care and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the nursing department ensuring the delivery of highquality patientcentered care.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the nursing staff including staffing scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Develop implement and monitor nursing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the integration and coordination of patient care services.
  • Lead and mentor the nursing team providing guidance support and professional development opportunities.
  • Monitor patient outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance care delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations as well as accreditation standards.
  • Participate in the development and management of the nursing departments budget ensuring the efficient use of resources.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment promoting teamwork and open communication among staff.
  • Serve as a liaison between the nursing staff and hospital administration advocating for the needs and concerns of the nursing department.

MustHaves:

  1. Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  2. Licensure: Current unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the State Board of Nursing.
  3. Experience: Prior experience in Behavioral Health/Psychiatric Health nursing.

NicetoHaves:

  1. Leadership Experience: Prior leadership experience in Inpatient Behavioral Health/Psychiatric Health settings.

Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team of nursing professionals.
  • Indepth knowledge of Behavioral Health/Psychiatric Health care practices and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with other healthcare professionals and departments.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities with a focus on quality improvement and patient safety.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and nursing documentation.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with advances in nursing practice and behavioral health.
