Job Description

Sales Associate

Overview:

The Sales Associate plays a crucial role in driving the companys sales by building and maintaining relationships with customers. They are responsible for providing excellent customer service identifying customer needs and recommending products to meet those needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greets and assists customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Builds and maintains relationships with customers to drive sales
  • Provides information about products and helps customers make informed decisions
  • Handles customer inquiries and resolves any issues or complaints
  • Operates cash registers and handles financial transactions accurately
  • Maintains knowledge of current sales and promotions
  • Assists in the organization and maintenance of the sales floor
  • Participates in regular product training to ensure uptodate product knowledge
  • Meets or exceeds sales goals and targets
  • Collaborates with team members to achieve sales targets and enhance the customer experience
  • Assists in the implementation of visual merchandising standards
  • Participates in inventory management and stock replenishment
  • Contributes to a positive and inclusive work environment
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures
  • Continuously seeks to improve sales techniques and customer interactions

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in retail sales or customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced and dynamic environment
  • Basic math skills and ability to handle financial transactions accurately
  • Knowledge of sales techniques and strategies
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Flexible schedule and ability to work evenings weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move objects up to a certain weight
  • Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising principles
  • Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to adapt to changing customer needs and market trends
