Overview

Key responsibilities

• Conducting thorough clinical assessments and accurately diagnosing rheumatic diseases.
• Developing and implementing comprehensive treatment plans for patients considering their unique medical history and individual needs.
• Effectively communicating with patients and their families to ensure a clear understanding of diagnoses treatment options and expected outcomes.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient care and treatment outcomes.
• Participating in medical research clinical trials and scholarly activities to contribute to the advancement of rheumatology.
• Providing expert consultation and guidance to healthcare professionals colleagues and trainees.
• Conducting regular patient followups and adjusting treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal health outcomes.
• Adhering to ethical and professional standards as well as maintaining accurate medical records.
• Contributing to educational initiatives and community outreach programs to raise awareness about rheumatic diseases.
• Participating in continuous professional development activities to stay abreast of the latest advancements in rheumatology and related fields.

Required qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of a residency program in internal medicine followed by a fellowship in rheumatology.
• Board certification in rheumatology from a recognized accrediting body.
• Active medical license and eligibility for medical practice in the specified location.
• Demonstrated clinical expertise and experience in diagnosing and managing various rheumatic diseases.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with patients families and healthcare professionals.
• Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care safety and confidentiality.
• Proven track record of scholarly activities such as publications presentations or participation in medical research.
• Ability to work effectively in a teambased healthcare environment and contribute to collaborative patient care.
• Excellent problemsolving skills critical thinking abilities and attention to detail.
• Understanding of legal and ethical considerations in healthcare including informed consent and patient advocacy.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) and other healthcare information systems.
• Willingness to engage in teaching mentoring and professional development activities for medical students residents and fellows.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and participation in professional organizations related to rheumatology.
