Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Managing the team in South Asia develop the current business to handle all

suppliers located in South Asia while developing a compliant competitive and

secured supplier base in the area.

1. MANAGEMENT

The Area sourcing manager will be accountable and responsible for the management of the

current team. He will support the coordination and timeline of the two QC in India and make

sure they have the entire and necessary resources to perform their job. He will report

directly to the GM located in China.

2. SOURCING

He will be responsible and accountable for the supplier s data base development the

commercial audit factory and supplier site (Prequalification visit report) submission of

innovation new products and price negotiation. He will be responsible for the sourcing

project follow up suppliers negotiations and reporting to the top management not

excluding the business unit.

3. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

The country manager will have to increase significantly the business part of his area in the

Group. He will also perform market research and economic intelligence not limited to raw

materials micro and macro data for the area. Active support on supplier relationships for

negotiation (quality commercial claim and so on)

4. ORGANISATION

The country manager will have to manage clients visits and schedule top

management venue and all other arrangements for the business trips.

PROFILE :

HARD SKILLS :

Minimum 10 years experience in Sourcing / Purchasing positions preferably in a

Western company and ideally in industrial / manufactured products trading sector.

A senior experience as export manager in industrial context could be acceptable.

Familiar with international trade (incoterms international contracts logistics )

manufactured goods & industrial environment Quality Control Supplier compliance

CSR approach Private label development

Specific knowledge of PPE items for construction (Fasteners Hardware /Tools

Plumbing ) and industrial supplies local environment would be a clear asset.

Languages : Indie Fluent English required French highly appreciated

Comfortable with Microsoft Office tools good skills in Excel in particular

international trade,french,plumbing,supplier compliance,south asia,tools,purchasing,hardware,microsoft office,csr,ppe,fasteners,excel,suppliers,construction,quality control,sourcing
