Overview:
The SQL Server Database Administrator plays a critical role in ensuring the performance integrity and security of the organization s databases. They are responsible for the implementation maintenance and support of SQL Server database systems ensuring their availability and optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and configure SQL Server databases
- Monitor database performance and tuning database parameters
- Design and implement backup and recovery solutions
- Manage and maintain database security
- Perform database maintenance activities
- Develop and implement data migration processes
- Troubleshoot database issues and provide resolution
- Implement and maintain high availability and disaster recovery solutions
- Collaborate with application developers to optimize and tune SQL queries
- Create and manage SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
- 3 years of experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator
- Proficiency in SQL querying and database management
- Experience in performance tuning and optimization
- Knowledge of database security best practices
- Understanding of backup and recovery processes
- Ability to troubleshoot database issues effectively
- Experience with high availability and disaster recovery solutions
- Familiarity with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
