Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Driver

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate various types of vehicles to transport goods and/or passengers to their designated locations
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure routine maintenance tasks are performed
• Assist with loading and unloading of goods and ensure proper securing
• Follow planned routes and schedules while accommodating any necessary changes
• Provide excellent customer service to passengers or clients
• Report any accidents delays or issues to appropriate personnel
• Keep accurate records of vehicle operations and maintenance
• Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers at all times
• Conduct pretrip and posttrip vehicle inspections
• Communicate effectively with dispatch or management as required
• Adhere to company policies and procedures
• Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude at all times

Required Qualifications:

• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience as a transportation driver preferred
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items as needed
• Excellent knowledge of local traffic laws and routes
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
• Good physical condition and stamina for long driving shifts
• Basic vehicle maintenance skills
• Ability to remain calm and focused in highpressure situations
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Proficient in map reading and navigation
• Familiarity with GPS devices and electronic logging systems
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
