Job Description

Overview:

The Medical College is seeking an experienced MD Radiologist Consultant to join our team. The role is of utmost importance as it directly contributes to the accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients and plays a crucial role in the education and training of future medical professionals. The Radiologist Consultant will provide expert oversight guidance and leadership within the department ensuring the highest standards of radiology practice and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and report on medical images including Xrays CT scans MRIs and ultrasounds.
  • Provide consultation and collaborate with other physicians to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Oversee and maintain compliance with radiation safety protocols and regulations.
  • Lead and participate in clinical conferences case reviews and educational activities for medical students and residents.
  • Utilize advanced imaging technologies and stay updated with emerging trends in radiology.
  • Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and technologists.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families to explain imaging procedures and results.
  • Contribute to research initiatives and publications in the field of radiology.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with hospital administration to ensure efficient and effective workflow within the radiology department.

Required Qualifications:

  • MD in Radiology from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Radiology.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Radiologist.
  • Proven expertise in interpreting a wide range of medical images.
  • Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols and quality assurance in imaging.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
  • Experience in research and publication in the field of radiology.
  • Proficiency in utilizing advanced imaging technologies and software.
  • Adherence to ethical and professional standards of practice.
  • Current state medical license and privileges to practice radiology.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to handle highpressure situations with a calm and composed demeanor.
