Job Description
Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and report on medical images including Xrays CT scans MRIs and ultrasounds.
- Provide consultation and collaborate with other physicians to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Oversee and maintain compliance with radiation safety protocols and regulations.
- Lead and participate in clinical conferences case reviews and educational activities for medical students and residents.
- Utilize advanced imaging technologies and stay updated with emerging trends in radiology.
- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and technologists.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families to explain imaging procedures and results.
- Contribute to research initiatives and publications in the field of radiology.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with hospital administration to ensure efficient and effective workflow within the radiology department.
Required Qualifications:
- MD in Radiology from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Radiology.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Radiologist.
- Proven expertise in interpreting a wide range of medical images.
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols and quality assurance in imaging.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and dynamic healthcare environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
- Experience in research and publication in the field of radiology.
- Proficiency in utilizing advanced imaging technologies and software.
- Adherence to ethical and professional standards of practice.
- Current state medical license and privileges to practice radiology.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to handle highpressure situations with a calm and composed demeanor.
