Job Description

This is a remote position.

Our success is driven by our ability to understand market trends customer preferences and sales performance. We are currently seeking a detailoriented and analytical Retail Sales Analyst to join our team. This role is critical in helping us optimize our sales strategies understand market dynamics and drive business growth.

Position Overview:

The Retail Sales Analyst will be responsible for analyzing sales data market trends and customer behavior to provide actionable insights that drive sales performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background a deep understanding of the retail industry and the ability to translate data into strategic recommendations. This role requires close collaboration with sales marketing and merchandising teams to ensure that our strategies are aligned with market realities and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Data Analysis:

    • Analyze retail sales data to identify trends patterns and opportunities for growth.
    • Monitor sales performance across different channels (instore online etc.) and product categories.
    • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales volume revenue margin and inventory turnover.
    • Develop and maintain sales dashboards and reports to provide realtime insights to stakeholders.
  • Market and Customer Analysis:

    • Conduct market research to understand industry trends competitive landscape and customer preferences.
    • Analyze customer purchasing behavior and demographic data to identify target segments and opportunities for personalization.
    • Provide insights into product performance including bestsellers slow movers and seasonal variations.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of pricing strategies promotions and discounts.
  • Forecasting and Planning:

    • Assist in developing sales forecasts and demand planning models to support inventory management and procurement decisions.
    • Collaborate with the supply chain and merchandising teams to align inventory levels with sales projections.
    • Participate in the development of sales targets and budgets based on historical data and market trends.
  • Strategic Recommendations:

    • Provide datadriven recommendations to optimize product assortment pricing and promotional strategies.
    • Identify opportunities for crossselling upselling and increasing average transaction value.
    • Support the development of marketing and sales campaigns by providing insights into customer behavior and market trends.
    • Assist in the evaluation of new product launches and their impact on overall sales performance.
  • Reporting and Presentation:

    • Prepare and present regular sales performance reports to senior management and crossfunctional teams.
    • Communicate complex data insights in a clear and actionable manner using charts graphs and visual aids.
    • Provide adhoc analysis and reports as requested by management.



Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Economics Marketing Statistics or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Retail Sales Analyst or in a similar analytical role within the retail industry.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel SQL and BI software (e.g. Tableau Power BI).
  • Familiarity with retail management systems (e.g. POS systems CRM software) and ecommerce platforms.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey datadriven insights to nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of market research methodologies and tools.
  • Detailoriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a crossfunctional team.
  • Understanding of retail industry dynamics including seasonality consumer trends and competitive pressures.

Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Project Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven experience as an Implementation Lead, Project Manager, or in a similar role, with a strong track record of successful project delivery. Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams. Exceptional client management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships. Strong technical background, with experience in software implementation, system integration, or IT project management. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to navigate complex challenges. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana) and collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Trello). Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certifications are a plus.
