The Position
As the Senior Accountant you will be accountable to the Practice Manager. Your position will be subject to any duties imposed by the law and lawful and reasonable instructions or directions given by the Director. You shall faithfully diligently and efficiently perform all the duties of this position as outlined below:
Responsible: The efficient maintenance of Michael Muaremov & Associates Pty Ltd clients Income Tax Returns Activity Statements Workcover & Superannuation compliance documentation.
Objective of position: To provide accounting and Taxation support of high quality for Michael Muaremov & Associates Pty Ltd and its clients.
Position Outcome:
- To provide an accounting & taxation service of high standard to Michael Muaremov & Associates Pty Ltd s clients
- Cashbook (Where applicable Debtors and Creditors ledgers) to be kept up to date
- Revenue and Expenditures are properly accounted for;
- Up to date reporting to Michael Muaremov & Associates Pty Ltd s Director as required;
- To take accounts to Financial Statements & Taxation stage;
- Assisting Director as required;
- To assist the Director in preparation of yearend schedules for clients tax management and statutory purposes.
- To deal with clients on behalf of the Director reviewing Tax Returns Accounts &/or BAS but not limited to.
Primary Duties:
1.0 Taxation Financial Accounts Schedules / Compliance
To assist Director/Practice Manager with Client s ATO compliance documentation being but NOT Limited to:
- Income Company Trust partnership & Super Fund Tax Returns
- Business / Installment Activity Statements Goods & Service Tax Pay As You GoWithholding & Installment Fringe Benefits Tax
- And other EOY Compliance Workcover premium documentation Superannuation Guarantee Charge Forms
To assist Director in preparing monthly quarterly and year end schedules for taxation and statutory purposes for clients;
2.0 Client Relationship Management
- When required you will be assisting the Director/Practice Manager when required in seeing clients to review and sign simple taxation matters eg BAS End of Year Financial Statements & Taxation Returns BUT not limited to;
- To interview and prepare Income Tax Returns in accordance to Practice Procedure & Policy
- This to be performed in a professional manner with an attitude of giving the customer full satisfaction that the tasks were completed in a faithfully diligently and efficient manner which would exceed their expectations every time.
3.0 Other Requirements
- When required you will be required to assist with Reception duties whilst the Office Manager is not in answer the telephone and take messages and attend to basic client enquiries.
- To assist in managing both Practices working out of Beaconsfield Offices in Senior Accountant Position.

- An up to date knowledge of taxation and related legislation to be able to perform the position competently;
- Accurate and up to date maintenance of Practice s Completed Jobs requiring Completion;
- Accurate and up to date maintenance of Practice s ;
- Timely preparation work relating to clients requirements
- Accurate and timely response to Client s requests working closely with the Practice Manager.
Requirements
- At least 5 years Accounting experience in industry and/or public practice;
- Minimum Associate Diploma in Business Accounting to have been attained;
- Willingness to make client s feel valued and make them feel happy and positive with Every dealing with MMA PL;
- Experience with Handisoft Software.
- Experience with using Xero MYOB Reckon/Quickbooks &/Or Accounting program;
- Experience with using spreadsheets such as Excel;
- Experience with using word processors such as Word & Adobe Acrobat

Setup and Location: Officebased (Ortigas Alabang Pampanga or Cebu)
Work Schedule: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (AEDT) 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (PH Time)

Minimum 7+ years of relevant Australian general accounting experience. Experience supporting clients in the manufacturing industry is a nice-to-have. Excellent written and verbal English business communication skills. With great initiative to contribute to both professional and company advancement Outstanding analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills. Ability in various accounting software, including MYOB EXO and Microsoft Excel is highly desirable. Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance or any relevant field, CPA or Chartered Accountant is an advantage. Knowledgeable of BAS requirements incl. GST, PAYGW, FTC, etc. Ability to deal with inter-company scenarios. Expert in basic and advanced accounting and financial principles and practices. Demonstrated ability to develop and retain effective client relationships. Knowledge of bookkeeping solutions and Microsoft Office, i.e., Excel, Outlook. Well-developed interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to mentor/train accountants. Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and prioritize. Very keen attention to detail and high levels of initiative.
