Our client a leading producer of specialty flatrolled products is seeking a skilled and teamoriented Electrical Controls Technician. This position operates on a DuPont work schedule featuring rotating shifts with 1415 days off per month and 7 consecutive days off monthly. Overtime is paid at time and a half.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on low/medium voltage motor control systems and Siemens/Rockwell drive systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues using PLC interfaces.
- Assist with the installation startup and commissioning of new equipment ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and contribute to the development of safety and operational procedures.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology militaryequivalent electronics training or 3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong physical capability to work in a manufacturing environment including lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Experience with NFPA 70E/NEC safety standards and the ability to read electronic/electrical drawings.
- Willingness to work shifts and overtime as needed.
Preferred:
- 3 years of experience in a manufacturing setting with controls automation electrical/mechanical repairs and PLC interfaces.
- Knowledge of PLC logic industrial automation hydraulics pneumatics and systematic troubleshooting.
