Director of Mechanical Engineering

• Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers fostering a culture of innovation collaboration and continuous improvement.
  
• Set team goals provide regular feedback and conduct performance evaluations to ensure team members are meeting professional and company expectations.
  
• Oversee resource allocation project timelines and budget management to ensure ontime and onbudget delivery of engineering projects.
  

• Manage the entire product development lifecycle from initial concept through detailed design prototyping testing and production.
  
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including electrical engineering software engineering manufacturing and marketing to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components in products.
  
• Identify and mitigate risks throughout the design and development process ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  

• Provide technical guidance and expertise in the areas of mechanical design materials selection thermal management and structural analysis.
  
• Lead design reviews and ensure that engineering solutions are robust costeffective and meet all technical requirements.
  
• Stay uptodate with the latest advancements in mechanical engineering materials science and manufacturing technologies to drive innovation within the team.
  

• Work closely with senior management to define the mechanical engineering strategy that aligns with the company s longterm goals.
  
• Identify opportunities for process improvements cost reductions and product innovations that can enhance the companys competitive advantage.
  
• Develop and manage relationships with external vendors partners and industry experts to leverage external expertise and resources.
  

• Ensure all mechanical designs comply with relevant industry standards safety regulations and environmental guidelines.
  
• Implement and maintain rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure the highest levels of product quality and reliability.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  
• Proven experience in leading mechanical engineering teams through the entire product development lifecycle.
  
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles materials science thermal analysis and manufacturing processes.
  
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks AutoCAD) and other engineering tools.
  
• Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
  
• Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  
• Experience in the industryspecific sector is a plus.
  
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
