Part-time Insurance Verification Prior Authorization Specialist - Virtual Assistant

Virtual Rockstar is seeking a compassionate and detailoriented parttime Insurance Verification/ Prior Authorization Specialist to join our client s physical therapy team in Arizona. This role is crucial in ensuring that patients receive the coverage they need for their complex rehab needs. Experience with WebPT EMR is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Manage Referrals: Coordinate and manage referrals from other healthcare providers.
  

• Send Personalized Communications: Communicate with clients and referral sources in a personalized and professional manner.
  

• Verify Insurance Coverage: Confirm and verify patient insurance coverage.
  

• Obtain Preauthorizations: Secure necessary preauthorizations for procedures and update patient files with insurance information.
  

• Explain Benefits: Clearly explain insurance benefits to patients and address their queries.
  

• Liaise with Insurance Providers: Clarify coverage details and track the status of pending insurance claims.
  

• Assist with Queries: Help patients with insurancerelated questions and provide support throughout the process.
  

• Data Entry and Reporting: Perform data entry generate basic reports and communicate with the offsite billing team.
  

• Develop SOPs: Assist in developing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline processes.
  

Requirements

• Previous experience in insurance verification and prior authorization preferably in a healthcare setting.
  

• Experience with WebPT EMR is a plus.
  

• Strong understanding of insurance procedures and prior authorization processes.
  

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  

• Detailoriented with strong organizational skills.
  

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote setting.
