Position Overview:

Shapely is seeking an experienced and dynamic HR and Talent Acquisition Manager to take the lead in our talent acquisition efforts while also overseeing all HR functions. This fulltime role will be pivotal in driving our recruitment strategy with a particular focus on identifying and securing top talent for key clinical roles including physician assistants nurse practitioners and physicians. The ideal candidate will not only excel in talent acquisition but will also manage HR operations such as onboarding training payroll time off policies and ensuring compliance with federal and local regulations. This role requires someone who is comfortable in a startup environment thrives on building scalable processes and enjoys collaborating with a dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:

    • Develop and implement effective recruiting strategies to attract highquality candidates.

    • Post job openings on various job boards and social media platforms.

    • Collaborate with leadership to understand and forecast staffing needs and requirements.

    • Utilize our applicant tracking system to track and manage candidates throughout the recruitment process.

    • Screen and vet candidates to ensure they meet the qualifications and cultural fit for Shapely.

    • Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.

    • Maintain a pool of qualified candidates for future openings.

  • HR Functions:

    • Oversee the onboarding process to ensure new hires are successfully integrated into the company.

    • Develop and implement training programs to ensure continuous employee development.

    • Manage payroll time off policies and employee benefits.

    • Ensure compliance with all employment laws and company policies.

    • Develop and maintain scalable HR processes and systems.

    • Address and resolve employee HR issues.



Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field.

  • Proven experience as an HR Manager Recruiting Manager or a similar role.

  • Proven experience with hiring healthcare providers including physicians nurse practitioners and physician assistants.

  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and HR software.

  • Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices and processes.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to build scalable HR processes in collaboration with a talented team.

Nurse practitioner or physician assistant with at least 2 years of post-graduate clinical experience. Strong preference for providers with prior primary care experience Ideally with at least 6 months of experience in supporting individuals with weight management, including use of injectable weight loss medications, i.e. Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, etc. Experience with compounded weight loss medications not required. MUST be licensed in California (otherwise will not be considered). Additional licensure in Texas, Florida, and New York preferred. We will provide you with a collaborating physician. Preference (but not required) for a Spanish-speaking provider to allow us to expand care for the Spanish-speaking patient population Motivated self-starter with a genuine passion for helping people achieve their weight loss goals. Comfortable with technology, including EHRs, telemedicine software, and order entry software. Exceptional communication skills, bedside manners and compassionate care sensitive to the nuances of caring for people who are overweight. Available to work full time Ability to work from home, with quiet space and high speed internet available Must pass background check and be eligible for enrollment into Medicare
