Job Description

Global manufacturer of automated wet chemistry laboratory instrumentation and robotics has an exciting opportunity to join its Technical Support team! Due to recent acquisitions and expansion we are looking for a motivated driven technical sales chemist who enjoys instrumentation and travelling to join us as a Junior Technical Sales Chemist. This individual will provide technical sales consultations to new and existing customers throughout the US with some possible international travel.

Responsibilities include:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
  • Attend conferences trade shows and exhibitions
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations showcasing product benefits and applications.
  • Achieve or exceed sales targets by promoting products and solutions
  • Perform Onsite & virtual instrument demonstrations at laboratories around the US
  • Provide expert advice on the right instrumentation and methods for the customer
  • Help with market research to identify competitor activities and potential areas for growth.
  • Assist with sales and marketing strategies










Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree or higher in Chemistry or closely related field
  • Technical sales experience a plus
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Ideally have experience in water/wastewater laboratory
  • Ideally familiar with analyses techniques such as Colorimetric Inorganic nutrient analysis BOD Metals
  • Ideally have worked with discrete flow analyzers (FIA SFA) and/or BOD robotics
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Ability to understand complex technical concepts and convey them to nontechnical audiences.

Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work independently.

  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment as a part of a team to accomplish common goals
  • Ability to travel up to 70% of time (available for overnight weeknight travel up to 34 nights per week). Majority of travel is within the US.
