You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailAs a Manager Food & Beverage Development, you will be responsible to manage the food and beverage development across catering services for all food, beverage and wine suppliers. This includes and is not limited to, nominated fresh food, dry stores, ambient snacks, beverage both alcoholic and non-alcoholic from suppliers across the world, based on the customer profile demographic, food and beverage philosophy and master catering profiles as directed by the VP culinary design.
You will also be responsible for sourcing and building relationships with new suppliers and managing current venders. Conducting market research, follow global trends, attend tradeshows to ensure our offering is current and in line with our customer expectations of a 5-star airline, at the best value for the company. In conjunction with marketing, you will involved in promoting our food and beverage through social media platforms and industry award competitions.
Other key responsibilities are:
• Responsible for managing the award-winning wine program in collaboration with the Master of wine and manage the wine suppliers across the globe, in line with the agreed wine and beverage strategy.
• Accountable for the administration and management of all food and beverage tenders across catering services, conducting the end-to-end process including nominating suppliers, technical evaluation, planning, logistics and budgets in line with the company policies.
• Source new and innovative food and beverage products, collaborating with the culinary team in line with the food and beverage strategy.
• Industry benchmarking, facilitate regular reviews of food and beverage products across all hospitality sectors, evaluate customer satisfaction for current products, research industry and lifestyle trends.
• Manage the product development life cycle for all food and beverage products across inflight.
• Build strong relationships and partnerships with our food and beverage suppliers, to enhance and develop opportunities to ensure on trend product proposition.
• Conduct supplier workshops with our venders to develop new products that we can be first to market with.
• Manage the development of the wine and beverage products and distribution strategy for the QR Catering network-wide.
• Contribute to the overarching food and beverage product development programme’ in line with the airlines overall brand strategy.
• Identify and developed promotional opportunities (working closely with the relevant company experts – Marketing, (etc) to market and publicize the airline’s award-winning food and beverage through all media channels.
• Manage the food, beverage and wine cycle change process, including all printed/electronic menus and on-board food and beverage material.
• Support the timely purchase of all food, beverage and wine stock items, ensuring that there are no out of stock or overstock situations whilst ensuring robust governance and control at all times
• Manage wine programme maintain optimum stock levels and explore in-house warehousing solutions to minimise wastage and warehouse costs
• Manage the planning and introduction of new food, beverage and wine stock items, including the timely withdrawal and disposal of obsolete stock.
• Support and make recommendations of trade-off decisions required to balance risk and cost of supply
• Collaborate with PDD and across Catering Services on the development / specification of new products, carrying out trials and providing user feedback to assist with the decision-making process.
• Send out communication across the business to the relevant stake holders, when making product changes to food, beverage and wine.
• Manage the procurement for food, beverage and wine processes - technical evaluation as deemed appropriate.
