About the Role:

Our client is seeking a Scrum Master Service Provider to support the client by creating the conditions for the team to frequently deliver highuser value / highquality products allow the team to selforganize remove impediments shield the team from outside distractions and continuously promote and support the team s use of Agile and Scrum. The Scrum Master Service Provider is to focus on developing a new and innovative solution aggregating and displaying company information will be a facilitator who supports team members in applying Agile practices processes and behaviors for executing effectively and with quality; raises the performance of delivery teams through impediment management continuous improvement and ceremony facilitation.


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance and continuous improvement of Agile events and project/program management practices.

  • Support the Product Owner to ensure teams actions are aligned with the Product goals vision and roadmap.

  • Identify and action impediments that interfere with team progress and achievement of the team s goals (for example using burndown charts at standups reviewing OKRs (Objective and Key Results) on an ongoing basis identifying risks etc.).

  • Ability to implement navigate communicate and decipher trends using team metrics (e.g. throughput cycle time) DevOps/ IT metrics along with barometer scores and progress against OKRs

  • Clear obstacles in the team s path (for example dependencies on other teams) maintain a list of risks impediments and improvements.

  • Facilitate team events (planning sessions retrospectives midcycle reviews and demos).

  • Organize the processes of decomposition and story/task estimation. Coordinate crossteam technology dependencies.

  • Coordinate interaction with other teams and any other relevant product level synchronizations.

  • Support identification of tradeoffs between shortterm and longterm benefits to drive shared vision between the team and Product Owner.

  • Identify ways to strengthen teams understanding and adoption of Agile concepts and principles.

  • Foster a continuous learning environment helping teams to inspect and adapt. Role model and coach Agile behaviors as needed.

  • Create and maintain an atmosphere of trust through facilitation of retrospectives and feedback exchange among team members.

  • Bring transparency to Business and IT organizations about team and Product development.

  • Bring an element of project management skills to the team to assist in planning larger initiatives that require an organized timeline.


Requirements:

Specific Project Requirements:

  • Completed an undergraduate Degree in Computer Science Business Administration or related field.

  • Minimum 3 years experience in project management program management or business analysis.

  • Minimum 3 years experience as a dedicated Scrum Master.

2) Coaching and facilitation:

  • Capable of delivering effective coaching to squad members to help achieve the full potential of the individual and the squad.

  • Strong supporter of squad members by helping them develop necessary skills and Agile expertise.

  • Effective collaborator with the Product Owner and squad to drive towards achieving Product Vision and OKRs.

  • Ability to lead proactive resolution of intraorinter squad conflicts.

3) Agile knowledge and expertise:

  • Familiar with Agile and leverages relevant frameworks (e.g. Scrum or Kanban) to optimize squad outcomes.

  • Grasps the details of squad members technical approaches and proactively drives initiatives to improve engineering practices.

  • Fluent in customer centricity and effectively encourages the squad to uphold those principles. Effective at reorienting the squads thinking around continuous iteration based on customer feedback when necessary.

4) Mindset and behaviors:

  • Naturally and consistently brings enthusiasm and passion about the Enterprise Agile process to effectively encourage the squad to contribute to that environment.

  • Adopts a growth mindset and promotes and openfeedback culture within the squad


Other Skills Required:
  • Experience working in: Technology Data and information management financial services; federal crown corporation.

  • Strong knowledge of Data ecosystems Ei: Knowledge of ITIL IT Service Management and IT

  • Operations. Knowledge of data analytics platforms such as PowerBI SAS Viya Informatica MDM

  • SQL Server Azure Databricks Infosphere etc.

  • Complex stakeholder management.

  • Advanced knowledge of the software development lifecycle Agile principles the Scrum


Assets:

  • Scrum Master certification (e.g. DASM DASSM PSM)

  • Knowledge of Azure Dev Ops (ADO)

  • Knowledge of Planview Portfolios AgilePlace

  • Fluently bilingual in both official languages French and English.







Specific Project Requirements: Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Demonstrated experience in SQL programming is required. Demonstrated experience in ETL is required. Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience in current and future state data mapping. Carry out data validation and identify and resolve discrepancies (format, content, values). Work with business team members on troubleshooting Top Skills Required: Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Well-rounded experience in the whole data lifecycle management and hands-on experience in the following data management domains: dimensional and relational data modeling, data quality, SQL programming (minimum 5 years), ETL development, metadata management and master data management, and business intelligence. Experience with reverse engineering the source to target mapping to gain data insights Experience refactoring existing SQL code to new/alternate data sources. Other Skills Required: Experience with Azure Data Platform technologies or other public cloud offerings Programming experience: SQL Experience with Databricks Excellent verbal and written communication, critical thinking, time management, priority planning and interpersonal skills. Ability to understand and interpret requirements and design documents Ability to write and maintain documentation Demonstrated experience working with key business stakeholders in areas of Finance, Risk Management and Insurance Assets: Experience working in an Agile environment/team Bilingualism in both official languages (English and French) Greater than 5 years of SQL development and refactoring existing SQL
