Job Description

We are currently seeking Independent Human Resources Consultants for several positions HR Coordinators Generalists and HR Directors. While some work may be done remotely the positions will require working at client sites in the metro Atlanta area. The Independent HR Consultants are responsible for providing guidance to the HRKS clients with a focus on acquiring developing retaining and when necessary transitioning employees. Our services range from HR projects that achieve organizational intentions to ongoing consulting services that build and improve our clients culture with their organization. The HR Consultant will have the great opportunity to work on special projects such as Leadership and Development Coaching Training and Organizational Development and Performance Management Compliance Management Talent Acquisition and Organizational Assessments Compensation Benchmark Studies among many other areas of service.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Point of contact and Trusted Advisor to business leaders on matters that are associated with management on the formulation and administration of plans and policies for human resource activities.
  • Provides consultative business strategy support to help align HR and organizational goals.
  • Uses basic blockandtackle elements of HR to help manage business operational risks.
  • Works with clients to assess and create workforce planning models.
  • Provides guidance on effective hiring practices that comply with federal state and local laws.
  • May assist with completing phases of talent acquisition to meet the clients hiring requirements.
  • Works with client and internal HRKS Senior Consultants to complete compensation bench marking studies.
  • Strategizes with managers and employees to recommend actions to address issues or negotiate/resolve conflicts.
  • May conduct exit interviews as well as coordinate the offboarding process as specified by the client.
  • Works with client and internal HRKS team to complete job analysis projects designed to produce effective and relevant job descriptions.
  • May conduct employee relations investigations.
  • May manage client Benefits and Payroll activities to include providing benefit plan design recommendations open enrollment coordination 401(k) management benefits invoice reconciliation employee benefits questions and payroll processing and reporting using the clients HRIS.
  • Ensures client is legally compliant by conducting periodic audits of human resource activities employee policies and procedures to confirm alignment to federal state and local regulatory requirements.
  • Develops revises and implements HR policies and procedures.
  • Works with clients on defining creating and implementing Performance Management programs New Employee Training and Onboarding Programs Organizational Development programs as well as Employee Training programs.
  • Facilitates training sessions related to a catalog of educational opportunities as requested or suggested to the client.






Requirements

    Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities

    • Strong knowledge of Human Resources disciplines and practices.
    • Must be organized concise detailed flexible and efficient.
    • Must possess strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of operations.
    • Knowledge of business operations and understanding of business strategies.
    • Strong and proven business acumen skills and experience.
    • Strong and proven experience in public speaking.
    • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel Outlook PowerPoint & Word).
    • High degree of discretion and judgment in confidential matters and information.
    • Proven knowledge of the art of using interpersonal skills to convince others to share ones perspective or way of thinking.
    • Ability to transform information to make informed decisions and resolve problems
    • Must be available during daytime hours.


    Education and Experience

    • A bachelors degree or equivalent HRrelated experience is required.
    • PHR and/or SPHR certificate Coaching certificate EQI 2.0/EQ360 certificate a plus.
    • 25 years of experience as an HR Coordinator Generalist or HR Director practitioner within a corporate environment is preferred.
