Depot Maintenance Technician 25500 based in Coventry

The Hours

You will be working Monday Friday 8 am till 4:30 pm however if the occasion arises it may be required to stay slightly later to ensure that the job is finished.

You will be based in the Coventry depot but may be required to use a company vehicle to make the occasional delivery to site.

The Role

This is a busy depotbased role. You will be responsible for Maintaining our traffic signal fleet and associated other components. Testing and maintenance of cables are essential and a significant role in this position.

You will also be taking part in a process called Off Site Build which requires you to take part in the building of the equipment that will go out to the site being able to be physically active for most of the day is a key element of the role. This role requires a keen eye for detail and meticulous records management.

Whilst primarily based in the workshop you may be required to assist with a delivery to a site on the odd occasion. You will also be tasked with collecting / Delivering stock to our depot network. You will need to maintain minimum stock levels and take pride in your work.

The Responsibilities

• Test and repair traffic signals Cables Controllers and other related equipment.

• Taking part in a job building process based out of the depot.

• Maintaining good records of all repairs undertaken

• Collecting / Delivering equipment to other depots

• Assisting commissioning engineers on site as and when required

• Liaising with regional managers on equipment delivery and allocation

• Upgrading the firmware in all equipment

• Technical support

• Maintaining depot housekeeping standards

Experience and Qualifications

• You need a full UK driving license (B&E would be an advantage)

• An electrical background is an advantage but not necessarily required for the right candidate.

• You must be flexible as you will be working in a fastpaced environment and plans can change.

You must have the right to work in the UK and a full UK driving license to be considered for this role.
