Systems Engineer

Job Summary:

The Systems Engineer will be responsible for designing deploying and maintaining the companys IT systems ensuring they are secure efficient and scalable. This role involves working closely with crossfunctional teams to identify system requirements implement solutions and troubleshoot any issues that arise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design implement and manage complex IT systems and infrastructure to meet the needs of the organization.
• Perform system configuration optimization and performance tuning to ensure efficient and reliable operations.
• Collaborate with software developers network engineers and other IT professionals to integrate various systems and applications.
• Develop and maintain system documentation including configuration settings standard operating procedures and disaster recovery plans.
• Monitor system performance security and availability implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for systemrelated issues ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
• Plan and execute system upgrades migrations and patch management to keep systems current and secure.
• Implement and manage security measures including firewalls intrusion detection systems and encryption protocols to protect company data and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with project teams to define system requirements and develop solutions that meet business objectives.
• Stay updated on the latest technologies and industry trends to continuously improve system performance and security.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Systems Engineering or a related field.
• Proven a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Systems Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of systems architecture networking and security principles.
• Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows Linux and UNIX.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or HyperV.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python PowerShell or Bash.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as CompTIA Network CompTIA Security Cisco CCNA or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect.
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible Puppet or Chef.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience in managing largescale enterprise systems and infrastructure.
