Education
Required Skills and Experience
- Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in Communication, Journalism, Digital Media, or other relevant disciplines is required. OR
- A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in the areas mentioned above, in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree
Experience
- Up to 2 years (with master’s degree) or minimum 2 years (with bachelor’s degree) of relevant professional experience in coordination of multi-sectorial programming, graphic design, monitoring and evaluation and media relations is required.
Required Skills
- Experience in community engagement and development
- Experience and extensive knowledge of documenting social and institutional processes
Desired Skills
- Practical experience in graphic design, including the use of design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe Premere Pro, etc.)
- Practical experience in multi-media software for preparing videos and sound recording
- Proven experience of graphic production from start to published/printed product with knowledge of printing processes (offset and digital) and colour management;
- Knowledge and experience with websites and content management systems
- Experience and knowledge in media and reporting protocols
- Experience and good understanding of mass media and communication networks in forestry, climate change, and environment;
- Experience and good knowledge about branding;
- Experience in working with UN agencies and international organizations
Required Languages
- Fluency in English is required. Working knowledge of Arabic would be an advantage.
