Strong proficiency in Python programming. • Comprehensive knowledge of AWS services and tools with handson experience in deploying applications on AWS. • Expertise in DevOps practices ensuring the development of maintainable and productionready web applications. The specific technologies we'll be using: • Gitlab pipelines for continuous integration and deployment. • Docker for containerization and application deployment. • Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management. • AWS services including EC2 ECS Fargate Lambda SQS S3 and DynamoDB. While not essential our applications do have a UI component so experience with the following technologies would be beneficial: • Proficiency in React for building user interfaces. • Knowledge of Typescript for developing robust and scalable UI components. Experience Level: We are seeking candidates with an intermediate level of experience in cloud engineering specifically in deploying AI applications and working with AWS services. Tasks The contractors are expected to: 1. Work to move Abcam’s AI Tech Stack from v0.1 to v0.3 as defined by the roadmap. 2. Productionise 5 existing AI Applications. 3. Collaborate with and work under the guidance of the AI Engineers in the Data Science & AI team. 4. Attend any planning design and review meetings necessary. 5. Work in the Abcam office (Cambridge UK) two days in week 1 one day in week 2 then one day fortnightly. 6. Document their work in Confluence and track in Jira.
