Job Description

RecruitNet International is seeking dedicated and experienced Anesthetic Theatre Nurses to join our client hospital.

Are you an experienced and skilled Anesthetic Theatre Nurse looking for an exciting opportunity to be part of a groundbreaking cardiac theatre in line with the development of a cardiothoracic service and intensive care unit Our client has 65 inpatient rooms and multiple outpatient services and is continually undergoing expansion including the delivery of their new cardiothoracic service and ICU in 2024.

The successful candidate will be part of Ireland s top private hospital network which includes two acute hospitals a radiation oncology centre two dayhospitals and three outpatient clinics located throughout the country. The network delivers the full range of healthcare specialties including cardiology oncology ophthalmology orthopaedic and spine emergency and outpatient services.

Key Responsibilities

Administer and manage anesthesia for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
Prepare and maintain the anaesthetic environment including equipment and medication.
Monitor patients vital signs and anesthesia levels throughout surgery adjusting as needed to ensure safety and comfort.
Collaborate closely with surgeons surgical staff and recovery teams to ensure seamless patient care.
Provide preoperative and postoperative care and support to patients including educating them and their families about anesthesia and recovery.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of anesthesia administration and patient responses.

Requirements

  • Registered general nurse in the process of registering with or on the live register with the NMBI.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrable commitment to patient safety and quality
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and intense environment that requires quick thinking and excellent analytical and assessment skills
  • Ability to work on their own initiative and to be self motivated
  • Eligibility to work in Ireland
Adaptation is not available for this role.
