We are seeking to recruit an Accountant to join our clients finance team to support our client achieve its growth ambitions. This role requires a motivated professional to support the financial team to maintain rigorous financial stewardship across our clients business entities. The role of the Accountant is to be proactive in managing financial matters of companies within the Group and to present various financial matters to management within the set deadlines.
ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Our client is a company which provides a vast range of solutions and services that cater to the needs of any cosmetic company in the packaging industry and is located in Zejtun.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain financial records for subsidiary companies by analyzing balance sheets and general ledger accounts.
- Manage the customer invoicing and receivable recovery process.
- Drafting monthly management accounts and present financial results to management.
- Prepare cashflow reports.
- Drafting of rolling forecasts.
- Process VAT Recaps monthly and VAT Returns.
- Support in the preparation of the group budget.
- Prepare any documentation necessary for company audits.
- Followup debtors and issue debtors report on a weekly basis.
- Any other duties assigned by management from time to time.
EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- A minimum of three years accounting experience.
- Experience in manufacturing or in a foreign account management environment would be preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel PowerPoint Word SharePoint Outlook Teams.
- Knowledge of ERP Systems preferably on Business Central.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Must be organized have excellent problemsolving skills and can work on his/her own initiative.
- S/he must be able to plan and deal with unexpected changes on a daytoday basis and must be able to work with tight deadlines.
EDUCATION
Must be a qualified accountant in possession of a Bachelor s Degree MQF Level 6 in Finance Accountancy or in possession of an ACCA qualification or equivalent.
WORKING TIME
Monday to Friday flexible hours from 08:30 till 17:00 40 hours per week with 30 minutes daily break.
