Sync Robotics is expanding their talented team of individuals and is currently seeking an Applications Engineer/Specialist who specializes in industrial robotics integration with 2 years related experience. This role is a great opportunity for someone with 2 years of related experience and education! Key responsibilities will include:

• Design and conceptualize robotic systems develop layouts and determine detailed specifications to create custom solutions that meet or exceed the customer s needs;
  
• Work closely with customers to understand their requirements and specifications and provide technical solutions and support;
  
• Prepare and present proposals quotations and demonstrations of robotic systems and applications to customers and stakeholders;
  
• Coordinate and collaborate with project managers engineers technicians and suppliers to ensure timely and quality delivery of robotic systems and applications;
  
• Proactively research and apply the latest trends and developments in robotics technology and industry standards;
  
• Create detailed engineering plans schematics and technical specifications;
  
• Document and report on the performance functionality and feedback of robotic systems and applications;
  
• Coordinate with crossfunctional teams including sales production and engineering to ensure successful project execution using sales priorities due dates and timelines to establish project priorities;
  
• Such other duties and responsibilities as may reasonably be communicated by the Employer to the Employee from time to time.
  

Requirements

• Related postsecondary education is required. Examples of related education are bachelors degree in engineering (robotics mechatronics mechanical or electrical); electronics technologist diploma with related experience; mechanical systems design; machine design; robotics and automation.
  
• 2 years of proven experience in a similar role experience in robotics or similar design;
  
• Experience with 3D mechanical design software such as SolidWorks or OnShape required;
  
• Handson experience with designing programming testing and troubleshooting industrial robots and automation systems such as Fanuc ABB Kuka Yaskawa or Universal Robots;
  
• Proficiency in robot simulation software such as RoboGuide RobotStudio Process Simulate or other;
  
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP EtherCAT DeviceNet Profibus or Profinet;
  
• Familiarity with PLC programming languages such as Ladder Logic or Structured Text
  
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics mechanical drawings and piping and instrumentation diagrams;
  
• Strong communication interpersonal presentation and customer service skills and a collaborative work style;
  
• Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time;
  
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks;
  
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fastpaced innovative environment;
  
• Strong computer literacy including excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
  
• Strong organizational and time management skills;
  
• Ability to occasionally travel internationally nationally and locally to client sites and trade shows. Valid driver s license and reliable transportation is required.
