Job Description
Overview
As a WordPress Backend Developer you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the backend functionality of WordPress websites. Your expertise in PHP MySQL and WordPress will be utilized to create efficient and scalable solutions for our clients. You will work closely with the design and frontend development teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of websites. Your attention to detail and problemsolving skills will be essential in delivering highquality custom solutions that meet our clients diverse needs.
Key responsibilities
- Develop custom WordPress plugins and themes to meet specific client requirements
- Optimize and maintain existing WordPress websites for performance and scalability
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate userfacing elements with server side logic
- Write efficient secure and reusable code for WordPress backend
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of WordPress sites
- Monitor and optimize WordPress site security and performance
- Contribute to continuous improvement and optimization of development processes
- Keep abreast of latest WordPress and backend development trends and best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve backendrelated issues and concerns
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members and clients
Required qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field
- Proven work experience as a WordPress Developer or similar role
- Strong proficiency in PHP MySQL and JavaScript
- Handson experience with WordPress API hooks and filters
- Familiarity with frontend technologies including HTML5 CSS3 and JavaScript frameworks
- Understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
- Knowledge of web server configurations and hosting environments
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Detailoriented with a passion for delivering highquality solutions
