Job Description:
seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join
as the Head of Department (HOD) for Food & Beverage Service. The ideal
candidate will have a strong background in both the industry and teaching having
previously held a HOD position in a reputable organization. This role requires a
postgraduate qualification and a profound knowledge of the field including
practical skills social media expertise and content creation.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Academic Leadership:
oLead the Food & Beverage Service department ensuring high
standards of teaching and learning.
oDevelop and enhance the curriculum to keep up with industry trends
and academic advancements.
oMentor and support faculty members within the department.
2.Teaching and Practical Skills:
oDeliver highquality teaching to students covering both theoretical
and practical aspects of food and beverage service.
oOrganize and oversee practical sessions ensuring students gain
handson experience.
3.Industry and Academic Experience:
oUtilize extensive industry experience to provide realworld insights
and applications in teaching.
oFoster partnerships with industry stakeholders to enhance students'
learning experiences and opportunities.
4.Content Creation and Social Media:
oDevelop engaging and informative content related to food and
beverage service for academic and promotional purposes.
oManage the department's social media presence writing blogs and
articles to showcase achievements and share knowledge.
5.Quality Assurance:
oEnsure compliance with academic standards and institutional
policies.
oParticipate in continuous improvement processes to maintain the quality of education.
6.Student Support:
oProvide academic and career guidance to students.
oOrganize workshops seminars and events to enrich the students'
learning experience.
Qualifications:
Postgraduate degree in Hotel Management Hospitality Management or a
related field.
Previous experience as a Head of Department in a reputable organization.
Extensive experience in both the industry and teaching.
Proficient in social media management and content creation.
Strong knowledge of practical aspects of food and beverage service.
Excellent communication leadership and organizational skills.
Full Time
