Job Description
This is a fulltime position based in Brea CA.
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible repair activities on machinery equipment and facilities in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 standards. The incumbent will ensure that all equipment and machinery are maintained and repaired to minimize downtime and optimize production.
What You ll be Responsible For in this Role:
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery equipment and facilities including lubrication cleaning and adjustments.
- Determine the cause and repairing or replacing defective parts as necessary.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks including inspections lubrication and adjustments in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
- Maintain and repair electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems as well as mechanical systems such as gears bearings and shafts.
- Fabricate repair or modify equipment parts using welding cutting lathe or milling machines.
- Maintain uptodate maintenance records including work orders logs and maintenance reports.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures including the use of personal protective equipment and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Participate in training programs to improve technical skills and knowledge of new equipment and technology.
- Assist in the installation startup and commissioning of new equipment.
- Monitor and order spare parts and supplies as necessary to ensure adequate inventory levels.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a technical school program or apprenticeship in maintenance or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001:2015 standards and other regulatory requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and diagrams.
- Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools as well as machine shop equipment.
