Security Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detailoriented Security Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring analyzing and responding to security incidents to ensure the protection of our organizations IT infrastructure and data. This role involves working closely with IT and security teams to identify vulnerabilities implement security measures and maintain a robust security posture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Security Monitoring: Monitor security systems and networks for signs of security breaches anomalies and threats. Utilize security information and event management (SIEM) tools for realtime analysis.
  
• Incident Response: Investigate and respond to security incidents including malware infections phishing attacks and unauthorized access attempts. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  
• Threat Analysis: Conduct threat analysis and assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and risks. Stay updated with the latest threat intelligence and security trends.
  
• Vulnerability Management: Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
  
• Security Policies and Procedures: Develop implement and enforce security policies standards and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  
• Security Audits: Participate in security audits and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of security controls and identify areas for improvement.
  
• Collaboration: Work closely with IT development and business teams to integrate security measures into all aspects of the organizations operations.
  
• Security Awareness: Conduct security awareness training for employees to promote best practices and reduce the risk of security breaches.
  
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of security incidents investigations and remediation efforts. Prepare technical reports and presentations for stakeholders.
  
• Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve security practices and tools by staying updated with the latest security technologies and best practices.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology Cyber Security or a related field.
  
• Experience: 57 years of experience in a security analyst role or a similar position with handson experience in security monitoring incident response and vulnerability management.
  

• Proficiency with security tools and technologies such as firewalls intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) antivirus software and SIEM solutions.
  
• Strong knowledge of network protocols operating systems and web application security.
  
• Experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration testing tools (e.g. Nessus Metasploit).
  
• Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as NIST ISO 27001 and CIS Controls.
  
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to analyze complex security issues and develop effective solutions.
  
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate security concepts to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
