After School Group Leaders Creative or Sports

Slingshot Education is hiring After School Group Leaders with a focus on creative activities or sports/games for clubs in London Bridge/Borough and East Dulwich in South London. The roles are parttime running from 3:15 6:15pm (although a 4pm start if commuting from another school is possible) on weekdays during term time starting September 2024. Pay starts at 13.15 per hour. Applicants should have at least two years of experience working with children aged 411 strong communication skills and a passion for engaging and supporting children. Responsibilities include managing group activities supporting meal times and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the children.

Candidates with creative or sports expertise are encouraged to apply with specific duties in areas such as arts and crafts dance football and other games. Must be available 5 days a week.

As a Teaching Assistant: You will be collaboratively working with the teaching staff and ensuring academic and personal development for all students while adhering and ensuring provision and safeguarding for all. Previous experience of working with young people in any capacity (TA, LSA, nanny, babysitter, sports coach, customer service etc) is desirable but not required. An interest in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities is also an advantage. All staff are expected to do everything they can to protect the children and young people from harm and to make the learning environment safe. Other responsibilities will include: Support the main class teacher in the delivery of the lessons. Differentiate instruction to make curriculum accessible to all students (including those with SEND). Monitor and record pupils progress and provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers and parents when required. Provide support as required, such as helping during exams, or going on school trips and participating in sports day. Help with extra-curricular activity such as breakfast and after-school clubs, homework club, revision sessions or playtime and lunchtime duties.
