TPF Recruitment the leading provider of accountancy practice professionals are currently supporting one of their clients located in Oxted currently seeking a dedicated and detailoriented Bookkeeper to join their friendly and growing team. This role offers the flexibility to work in either a fulltime or parttime capacity making it an excellent opportunity for those seeking worklife balance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintaining accurate and uptodate financial records for a variety of clients
- Managing accounts payable and receivable
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Bank reconciliations
- Processing payroll
- Handling general bookkeeping tasks and financial reporting
- Liaising with clients to address and resolve queries
- Assisting with the preparation of management accounts
Requirements
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper ideally within an accountancy practice
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Xero QuickBooks Sage)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- A proactive and clientfocused approach

Qualifications and Experience: Extensive experience in a tax management role, ideally within a top 50 accountancy firm. Strong expertise in either personal tax or a mixed tax background. Proven track record of managing a diverse client portfolio. Excellent knowledge of UK tax legislation and compliance requirements. Ability to provide tax planning advice and identify tax-saving opportunities for clients. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build lasting client relationships. Previous experience in a supervisory or mentoring role, with a passion for developing junior team members.
