Must live anywhere in Los Angeles.

Must travel 50% of the time travel will only be on the west coast California Oregon Washington. All travel is paid for upfront by the company. You might have 2 flights in a day. You might rent a car to drive to the other side of California. When traveling all hotels food rentals gas will be paid for on the company credit card. Travel will be every other week and between Tuesday and Thursday. Monday and Friday are admin days.



MUST HAVE:


Must have ground up commercial experience all new construction. Coming from a General Contractor is perfect.
Experience building restaurants chains like CHICKFILA (very similar with intricate exterior products) is a great fit for this role.

Experience with other restaurant chains (except McDonalds) and/or car dealerships is also a fit.

JOB DESCRIPTION:


Were currently seeking a Construction Manager to join our Headquarters team in Los Angeles CA
The ideal candidate will possess handson knowledge of groundup commercial construction preferably in a national/regional retail environment and will successfully manage multiple projects in various states.
Excellent planning and communication skills are critical for success in this position.
This includes coordination with external vendor partners and internal teams to successfully open new stores on time within budget and at a level of quality that meets or exceeds Misters standards.




RESPONSIBILITIES:


Manage construction projects with competing timelines from conception to completion
Determine the resources (e.g. time money equipment) needed to create manage and fulfill project budgets within approved limits

Job cost estimating budget creation forecasting and close out


Collaboration and management of general contractors and thirdparty vendor partners

Negotiate terms of agreements and review bids and contracts


Apply value engineering principles to increase facility value
Order equipment and work with internal support teams to meet delivery deadlines
Report project progress on a weekly (and sometimes daily) basis
Avoid issues through proper planning; resolve issues when they emerge
Track and analyze project flow and outcomes to prepare future reports and identify improvements to Misters best practices
Remain calm under pressure act decisively maintain flexibility and effectively manage multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment
Listen actively and communicate assertively




QUALIFICATIONS:


Minimum 5 years of experience in construction project management
Ability to travel roughly 50%
Skilled at reading blueprints/schematics; knowledgeable about current building codes
Must be able to perform miscellaneous construction tasks (e.g. pull wire stage and install equipment etc.)
Work and collaborate remotely with limited direct supervision
Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management software packages
Excellent writing communication project management and interpersonal skills with a high level of attention to detail
Car wash experience is a plus
