This is a remote position.
Veterinary Editorial book translator with German
Field of expertise: Veterinary
Language Combination: English into German
Location: Remote
Employment type: Freelance
STAR7 Group is recruiting a veterinarian to be part of our growing teams that could support with the translation of a book about clinical pathology for small animals from English into German.
In this role you will:
- Ensure target text correctly reflects the meaning of the source
- Perform linguistic tasks as per project instructions and other references (translation memory glossary style guides etc.)
- Ensure highgrammatical accuracy while maintaining key terminology spotting inconsistencies and incorrect cultural references
- Correct formatting/tagging punctuation country specifics terminology style fluency as per guidelines
Requirements
- Degree in Veterinary Medicine.
- Native speaker in German language.
- Excellent command of the English language in both comprehension and writing.
- Preferred experience in translation and proofreading specialized in veterinary field.
- Comfortable with technology and open to learn to use new tools.
- Linguistic and cultural competences of both source and target language.
- Adaptive to fastpaced work environment with multiple changes of project priorities.
- Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Problem solving and decisionmaking skills.
