HR Generalist

Role: HR Generalist

Location: New Hamburg ON Onsite

Salary Range: $50000 $80000 annually commensurate with experience

Shift Time: Typically 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM; open to discussing alternative shifts (e.g. 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM) to accommodate afternoon shift employees

About Us: We are a manufacturing and distribution company with two plants located in New Hamburg ON. Our operations run daily shifts between 6:00 AM and 2:00 AM.

Role Overview: This is a handson HR Generalist role where you will be involved in all aspects of HR operations with a primary focus on recruitment training WSIB and employee management. Most unionrelated duties are managed by the HR Manager but you will be the backup for payroll processing.

Responsibilities:

• Manage endtoend recruitment processes including job postings screening interviewing and onboarding.
• Facilitate employee training and development programs.
• Administer WSIB claims and maintain related records.
• Assist with employee relations and performance management.
• Act as the backup for payroll processing.
• Ensure compliance with company policies procedures and employment standards.

Requirements:

• Experience in HR within a manufacturing or distribution warehouse setting is essential.
• Attention to detail and willingness to be handson in daytoday HR operations.
• Familiarity with Pay Worx and HR Downloads is advantageous.
• CHRP or CHRL designation is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work onsite daily in New Hamburg ON; no remote work option available.
• Must reside within a 30minute commute of New Hamburg ON.

• Minimum 2 years of HR experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
