Public Sector Engagement and Business Development Manager

Salary: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year

We have an immediate opening for a Public Sector Engagement and Business Development Manager to support our BD and Sales Team. PURPOSE OF POSITION:
This role supports business growth through prospecting and developing new business including within existing customer accounts in the public sector--Federal, State, and Local. Though the focus will be on net new accounts, some legacy business accounts may also be assigned with the expectation of growing those accounts. The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Understand full range of business capabilities, including new and evolving areas, and align workload with corporate direction and both short and long-term areas of focus.
- Identify business development opportunities through a variety of means, outlining key players and decision-makers, customer pain points, funding and budget capacity, and procurement approach.
- Identify and develop strong relationships with new and evolving partners to evolve business capabilities.
- As needed, manage legacy business accounts, identifying opportunities to grow and/or evolve capabilities or deliverables.
- Build collaborative relationships with internal resources, standing up teams as needed to develop solutions.
- Shape opportunities and respond substantively to proposals.
- Track and accurately forecast sales pipeline.
- Utilize internal sales enablement tools and management processes, following compliance guidelines and expected timelines.

- Experience (at least 5 years) identifying, winning, and closing sales for complex solutions, doing so in a proactive and creative manner while leveraging a broad network of connections.
- Experience using business intelligence tools, such as GOVWIN, SAM or state-specific business portals to identify relevant opportunities.
