Position: Acoustic Simulation Engineer

Location: Redmond WA

Note: This is a FullTime position with direct client.

USC & GC only.

Job Overview:

  • We are seeking an Acoustics Simulation Engineer to become a part of our team in Redmond WA state! The role requires deep understanding and experience in transducers and acoustics systems. You should be familiar with simulation basics using lumpedparameter and FEA in general and COMSOL tool specifically. You will get to work with the latest technology and innovations available on the market in a very exciting and rewarding environment. As part of an experienced team with recognized experts you will work closely together to deliver world class results to our customers. The role requires an open mindset and eagerness to learn new technologies and ways of working.

Responsibilities:

  • COMSOL Multiphysics.
  • Physicsbased modeling/simulation.
  • Mathematical modeling (nice to have).
  • Knowledge of programming: Python MATLAB etc.
  • Experience with verification and validation studies.
  • Understanding of wavebased physics & acoustics.
  • Basic knowledge of numerical methods including finite elements boundary elements finite difference etc.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum bachelors in computer science or equal.
  • Experience developing transducers for highfidelity loudspeakers headphones and earphones.
  • Expertise in lumpedparameter FEA and BE modeling of electroacoustic magnetics and mechanics.
  • Expertise in standard methods for specifying and evaluating audio transducers and acoustics systems.
  • Knowledge of wave propagation surface acoustic waves and nonlinear acoustics Competency in statistical.

Soft Skills:

  • Selfstarter and independent.
  • Extremely detailoriented; thrives in a research environment with openended problems.
  • Excellent at communicating research findings to multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Can mentor other team members in an effective manner.
  • Prepares detailed documentation of the projects/tasks theyre working on.
