Senior Staff Accountant

Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly experienced and detailoriented Senior Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills excellent analytical abilities and a passion for ensuring financial accuracy and integrity.

Responsibilities:

• General Ledger Management: Oversee the maintenance and reconciliation of the general ledger ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements including balance sheets income statements and cash flow statements.
• MonthEnd Close: Lead the monthend and yearend closing processes including journal entries account reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development and management of budgets forecasts and financial projections.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant regulations and assist with internal and external audits.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting and operations.
• Accounts Management: Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions ensuring timely processing and accuracy.
• Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff fostering a collaborative and highperformance work environment.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 57 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 34 years in a senior or supervisory role.
• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks SAP Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Previous experience in agriculture/manufacturing/construction industry are preferred.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
• Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial regulations.
• High level of integrity and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
