Job Description

  • $60.68 - $$67.17 p/h (Exc Super)
  • Hourly Rate Contract
Our client is a large NSW Government Organisation who are seeking Procurement Coordinator to join their team.

The Procurement Coordinator provides procurement expertise and assists stakeholders to plan, develop, source
and manage procurement arrangements to effectively meet organisational and business objectives consistent with Create NSW processes. The core purpose of the role is providing primary procurement support for project teams, coordinating and administering the e-tender process, panels and contracting.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide procurement support, technical advice and guidance to project teams to ensure all procurement is compliant with the NSW Procurement Policy Framework
  2. Drive the implementation of best practice procurement principles, including value for money, compliance with legislated and NSW Government policy requirements, fit for purpose and quality, and probity and transparency
  3. Contribute to the development and implementation of standardised tools, templates, practices and processes that optimise procurement efficiency while delivering a targeted service to project teams
  4. Promote knowledge building and sharing and facilitate learning and development activities including communities of practice
  5. Maintain and update procurement records and coordinate agency wide reporting on procurement activity to meet organisational compliance requirements and provide access to procurement information
  6. Monitor and evaluate performance and quality standards to ensure continuous improvement
  7. Identify, mitigate and escalate procurement risks to enable the organisation to meet its obligations and maximise procurement outcomes.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Proven experience in infrastructure procurement for the NSW Government or a local Council.
  2. Demonstrated infrastructure/construction procurement experience
  3. An excellent understanding of the NSW Government Procurement Policy Framework requirements and best practice principles.
