Job Description

Area Sales Manager Qatar - Full Time - Doha, Qatar • *At Sulzer, you are empowered to deliver superior results. Join our story and create your own impact by developing your expertise and building solutions that help make our lives safer, smarter and more sustainable.** • *We are looking for our Area Sales Manager in Qatar to develop end to end sales activities for the Tower Field Services (TFS) and Automated Weld Overlay (AWO) product lines in the region.** You will be responsible for generating new business, developing existing clients, reviewing enquiries, quoting / estimating, and converting enquiries into profitable orders within the allocated territory, in order to deliver year-on-year growth in both order intake volume and profit margin. • *Your main tasks and responsibilities** - Develop and implement sales plan/strategy for the Tower Field Services (TFS) and Automated Weld Overlay (AWO) product lines in the defined territory & markets. - Produce accurate monthly forecasts aligned with regional annual budget for order input (OI) & order related gross profit (GP), and deliver matching results. - Ensuring business continuity with clear focus on EPC/Main Contractors/Non-OEM. - Perform regular client visits with an objective of acquiring new business and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. - Classify, prioritize and manage customer requests for quotation (RFQs). - Review customer technical and commercial RFQs to determine technical solutions, produce costing, cash flow and risk analysis in line with internal approval requirements. - Produce high quality and accurate tenders in line with customer requirements. - Manage follow up of tenders though to closure, utilising customer relationship management (CRM) tools to reporting progression status though sales funnel. - Act as single point of contact for customers through the sales process to order handover and partake in post project reviews. - Identify & document influencers and decision makers in customer organizations, building relationships with key personnel, driving towards framework / partnership contracts - Produce and deliver personalised acquisition strategies on projects to enhance chance of award outcomes, and where appropriate record actions to increase future win rate. - Identify and develop opportunities with new and existing customers within the defined region. - Represent Sulzer at client meetings and industry events for technical presentations and project negotiations and produce appropriate visit reports / feedback. - Work closely with the TFS, AWO and ST teams to enhance business outcomes. - Bring all ideas and suggestions to increase sales effectiveness of the TFS and AWO product lines. - Act as a role-model for compliance, ensuring appropriate processes and controls are in place and followed to meet the highest ethical standards and to adhere to Company regulations - Act as a role model for Health, Safety and Environmental issues, actively participating and encouraging team and peers to support development of safety culture and behaviours - Support with Supplier Registrations and approvals with all clients in your territory. - All other duties as relevant to the Sales function - Bachelor degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering - **Min 5-years in sales of automated weld overlay services, corrosion mitigation services or mechanical shutdown services** with a proven track record of performance and knowledge of current end user markets & standards. - Significant experience working in the Middle East is a must. - Experience dealing with Oil Majors in QATAR. - End-to end process of turning RFQs into profitable sales - Technical & commercial tendering experience - Strategic sales planning & delivery • *Sulzer is an equal opportunity employer, committed to the strength of a diverse workforce.** • *83% of our employees recommend Sulzer as a good place to work - so come and join our story, starting today
