Job Description
Position Overview:
As the Distribution Center Manager focused on 3PL (ThirdParty Logistics) Management you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operational and strategic aspects of our distribution centers partnership with thirdparty logistics providers ensure timely and fulfillment of deliveries to stores maximize storage and space usage capacity at DC. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient and effective logistics operations maintaining high service levels and optimizing costs while adhering to company standards and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Partnership Management:
- Develop and nurture relationships with thirdparty logistics providers to ensure alignment with company goals and standards.
- Negotiate contracts service level agreements (SLAs) and pricing to optimize cost efficiency and service quality
- Monitor performance metrics and KPIs to evaluate 3PL performance regularly.
Operational Oversight:
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment to stores.
- Oversee inventory management including receiving storing and shipping processes to maintain inventory accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Process Improvement:
- Continuously identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements within the distribution center and with 3PL partners.
- Lead crossfunctional teams to implement process improvements and ensure seamless integration with 3PL operations.
Team Leadership:
- Manage a team of support staff based at DC.
- Foster a culture of accountability teamwork and continuous improvement among team members
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements company policies and industry standards.
- Conduct regular audits and quality checks to maintain high standards of operational excellence.
Budget and Cost Management:
- Develop and manage budgets shrinkage for distribution center operations and 3PL partnerships.
- Monitor expenses and costs to optimize spending and maximize costefficiency.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Logistics Business Administration or any related field.
- Proven experience (min 7 years) managing logistics and supply chain management working with 3PL.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing 3PL and team.
- Excellent analytical negotiation and problemsolving abilities.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Good computer literacy knowledge of system/software i.e. Manhattan Scale warehouse management systems (WMS) and LS ERP system is preferred.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Willingness to travel occasionally when necessary.
