Job Description
Overview:
Perform a wide variety of mechanical and electrical maintenance work of a skilled and complex nature. Installs repairs and maintains manufacturing equipment and plant facilities necessary for satisfactory operation of equipment and processes.
This position is moderately physical.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose mechanical electrical/electronic hydraulic and combustion malfunctions and operating difficulties. Determines repair procedures and implements those repairs that will be effective in preventing reoccurrence.
- Can navigate and interpret ladder logic in SLC 500 PLC 5 and Control Logix software for the purpose of troubleshooting equipment faults.
- Can modify positions and diagnose problems on ABB robots. Models M94 M98 M2000 M2600 and M6700.
- Installs moves and aligns new and existing equipment.
- Sets up and operates various types of machine shop equipment with a moderate degree of accuracy and efficiency.
- Performs both gas and electric welding operations.
- Completes related machine repair records performs associated handling duties and maintains work area in a neat and orderly condition.
- Performs all necessary preventive and proactive tasks on plant equipment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by supervision and/or designated team leader.
Requirements:

Must Have:
- Must be able to apply principles acquired through technical or vocational subjects (certificates or some college courses).
- 4 years of related experience in Allen Bradley Hydraulics Robotics and Welding.
- Maintenance Technician A level must be proficient at troubleshooting die casting machine cells through the use of PLC s and electrical and hydraulic schematics.
