Project Engineer

• Determine project requirements and assemble project teams.
  
• Obtaining materials needed for the project.
  
• Monitor and maintain quality standards and output while lead the implementation of safety processes.
  
• Communicate effectively with suppliers contractors and stakeholders.
  
• Recognizing project problems and putting corrective action plans in place.
  
• Maintaining the progress of the project documentation and reporting.
  
• In charge of implementing the construction programme in detail.
  
• Ensure timely project completion by planning and carry out the project activities and handover from the contractors within the intended time frame.
  
• Evaluate tender documents or drawing and ensure any modifications to the specifications are periodically updated for site execution.
  
• Facilitate the inspection of completed installation works by monitor the approval status of construction drawings material approvals and Work Method Statements.
  
• Collaborate with internal supporting departments such as finance and Procurement to meet the project requirements.
  
• Coordinate with other professionals such as engineers contractors subcontractors stakeholders and contractors to resolve issues and progress work efficiently.
  
• To ease of reference supervise manage and monitor site project team in site daily preparation and record keeping as well as the clerical team for filling documentation in order to assess main and subcontractors claims valuation variation orders (VOs) and extensions of time (EOTs).
  
• Conduct weekly site meetings with the project s designated contractor to update progress of the construction.
  
• Verify materials delivered and work done by contractors.
  
• Oversee multiple ongoing projects both big and small. Plan and schedule the work as well as assign resources including labor and equipment.
  
• Oversee multiple projects that involved both big and small projects. This includes coordinating the planning and implementation of tasks as well as allocating resources for equipment and workers.
  
• Ensure that health and safety laws are followed and that workers are working in a secure environment.
  
• Organize the procurement of supplies machinery and other resources required for the projects completion.
  
• Estimate the total costs and form a budget by interpreting different architectural and engineering drawings.
  
• Identify potential risks and challenges throughout the lifecycle project and develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans when needed.
  
• Conduct site inspections to verify adherence to project guidelines.
  
• Assist in financial reporting and cost tracking for your area of work.
  
• In charge of overseeing of work and subcontractors.
  
• Complete any other tasks as assigned from time to time by a superior
  

Requirements

• A Bachelor s Degree in engineeringrelated field or any relevant qualifications.
  
• Minimum 5 years working experience as an Engineer preferably with an established Civil Engineering / Asphalting / Surfacing company.
  
• Experience in testing & commissioning and high rise building construction.
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook etc) and project management software and tools.
  
• Knowledge on various kinds of pavement standard asphalting and surfacing procedures that includes quantifying and ordering of materials supervision of laying testing and monitoring of quality.
  
• Experience in Autodesk Revit software (Building Information Modelling) or at least AutoCAD experience.
  
• Solid understanding of general civil engineering and practical experience with its technical components.
  
• Excellent organizational problem solving skills with effective communication and interpersonal skill.
  
• Capable to work in both independently and collaboratively in team environment.
