Management Consultant Development and Research

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Management Consultant with a strong background that comprises any combination of the following: strategy consulting international development climate/green economy public sector consultingmarket/social generalist research. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leading teams and delivering highimpact solutions to clients in various sector including public sector. They will be a quick learner able to become adept in new industries and areas as required.

As a Management Consultant your responsibilities will include:

1. Consulting and Advisory Services:

Lead teams and collaborate with other desks to provide expert advice and customized solutions in any of the following: strategy international development climate/green economy public sector projects etc.

Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope objectives timelines and deliverables.

Conduct indepth assessments of client needs identifying key issues opportunities and constraints.

Develop strategic recommendations and actionable plans to address client challenges and achieve desired outcomes.

2. Provide Strategic Advice:

Offer strategic counsel to clients across diverse sectors leveraging deep expertise in strategic methodologies and tools (e.g. Balanced Scorecard)

Conduct comprehensive analyses of client environments (e.g. using tools like PESTLE etc) identifying key strategic issues and opportunities.

Collaborate with client leadership teams to develop longterm strategic plans aligned with organisational objectives.

Present strategic recommendations and actionable insights to senior stakeholders ensuring clarity and alignment.

3. Deliver Insights and Presentations:

Develop and deliver presentations reports and briefings to communicate findings and recommendations (e.g. economic and development) effectively.

Present complex economic and development concepts and analyses in a clear and concise manner to clients and internal stakeholders.

Collaborate with project teams to incorporate economic insights into client

deliverables and solutions.

4. Client Engagement and Collaboration:

Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve project

objectives and deliver valueadded solutions.

Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and responsiveness.

Provide expert advice and customised solutions in strategy international development climate change and public sector projects.

Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope objectives timelines and deliverables.

Conduct indepth assessments of client needs identifying key issues opportunities and constraints.

Develop strategic recommendations and actionable plans to address client challenges and achieve desired outcomes.

5. Team Management and Leadership

Lead and manage project teams ensuring effective collaboration and highquality deliverables.

Mentor and develop team members fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Oversee project timelines budgets and resources to ensure successful project execution.

Report to management on a periodic basis in a professional and efficient manner

6. Business Development:

Identify new business opportunities and contribute to the development of proposals and client pitches.

Collaborate with the business development team to create compelling proposals that meet client needs.

Participate in networking events and industry conferences to build professional connections and promote VIISAUS Consulting.

Support the development and implementation of marketing strategies to attract new clients.

7. Thought Leadership:

Stay abreast of developments in strategy consulting international development climate and public sector including changes in policies agreements and trends locally and internationally

Requirements

B.Sc. or M.Sc. in International Development International Relations Energy or a related field preferably an M.Sc.

At least 7 years of experience in a consulting role covering multiple fields including but not limited to strategy consulting international development climate/green economy public sector and generalist research.

At least 3 yearsin a leadership or team management role.

Possess a flair for excellent dressing communication (verbal and written) and presentation.

Experience working with public sector clients or development finance institutions (DFIs) is preferred.

Expertise in data analysis tools (e.g. R SAS SQL) and visualization platforms (e.g. Power BI Tableau). is an added advantage.

Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and drive results.

Comfortable working in fast paced dynamic crosscultural environments and comfortable with travel
