IoT Edge Software Engineer mfd - Internship Student Duales Studium - Tech-Startup

We are looking for a Software Engineering student experienced with IoT Technologies Java and Python varying from the Edge to the Cloud. You will help build new features for a smart IoT fridge and maintain the codebase.

Tasks

• Developing containerized applications on the edge (Raspberry Pi) using Java and/or Python
• Working on our kiosk controller software to manage all electronic components locally and communicate with the Google Cloud Platform via MQTT
• Implementing payment terminals gateways and protocols using ZVT OPI MDB
• Quality assurance of the software through planning creation and execution of tests
• Work with a crossfunctional team to define build test and deploy universal applications
• Version control with Git and continuous integration are part of your daily work

Requirements

• Proficient in Java (Python is a plus)
• Experience using Docker to create and manage containers
• Knowledge of MQTT and Linux Operating Systems as well as GitLab / CICD
• Enrolled in university (looking for a mandatory internship or working student)
• Fluent in English
