Pay Rate: $53.00/Hr on W2

As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists technicians and engineers you will help us integrate test and document the assembly of a custom machine tool and all its related subsystems. You will share in the teams impact on all aspects of additively manufactured spaceflight supporting hardware continuous improvement automation and process development in this innovative industry.
This position is very handson and multifaceted so flexibility attention to detail and eagerness to learn are core components of your professional career.
We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise leadership skills and dedication to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. This job is fastpaced and highly exciting!

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Manufacture assemble and test custom machine hardware according to written procedures engineering models work orders drawings and specifications
  • Setup new production work areas including tooling and equipment
  • Perform secondparty verifications and hardware inspections of engineering models drawings specifications and written procedures
  • Troubleshoot diagnose and correct malfunctions by modification rework repair and/or maintenance
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurrence control
  • Operate various material handling equipment including forklifts overhead cranes aerial lifts flight vehicle and subassembly transportation equipment
  • Setup and operate a wide range of precision calibrated tools including but not limited to torque wrenches micrometers calipers laser trackers height gauges and optical measuring instruments
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for area safety and efficiency
  • Perform routine maintenance functions such as daily cleanup of work areas to support 5S FOD and ESD
Minimum Qualifications
  • 5 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing integration or other large/complex assembly manufacturing environment
  • High School diploma GED or equivalent experience
  • Interpret engineering models drawings specifications written work instructions test procedures and P&IDs
  • Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around critical hardware
  • Experience using common assembly and integration tools
  • Climb ladders/stairs and work in small restricted areas
  • Work at heights on work stands and in lifts.
  • Perform repetitive work including lifting of items up to 40lbs
  • Experience with verbal and written communication of technical data results and associated tools (confluence MSOffice suite)
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Qualifications
  • Industry certification trade school training and/or degree in a related field
  • Work effectively with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fastpaced dynamic team environment with rapidly changing roles and responsibilities
  • Experience in handling large/expensive components
  • Experience in laser tracker operation
  • Experience in assembling large tighttolerance structures
  • Experience in new product introduction
  • Experience in a teambased Lean Manufacturing environment
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification
