Job Overview:
A Chandigarh based accounting firm/Company is seeking a skilled and experienced accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling daytoday bookkeeping accounting and related tasks for our US clients. This role is crucial in preparing accurate and timely financial records which are essential for client tax returns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daytoday bookkeeping tasks including recording financial transactions maintaining accurate ledgers and reconciling accounts.
- Prepare and maintain financial statements balance sheets profit and loss statements and other financial reports.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Assist in the preparation of books for client tax returns ensuring compliance with US tax laws and regulations.
- Monitor and manage client budgets cash flows and financial forecasts.
- Provide financial analysis and reports to support decisionmaking processes.
- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information and address any queries or concerns.
- Stay updated with the latest accounting standards tax laws and regulations relevant to US clients.
- Ensure all accounting practices adhere to the companys policies and procedures.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field (required).
ACCA ACCA Part Qualified or equivalent certification (preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting preferably with US clients.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Xero or similar).
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problemsolving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
High level of integrity and confidentiality.
