Purchasing Agent

This is a remote position.

• Evaluate suppliers based on price quality availability and other criteria.
  
• Verify purchases by comparing them to a master list and recommend alternatives for expensive or irrelevant products.
  
• Interact with suppliers to schedule delivery times and resolve shipping errors.
  
• Authorize payments and maintain receipts records and inventories.
  
• Build assemblies within the Company s inventory software program.
  
• Advise the VP of Operations on industry trade shows to stay current on trends and meet suppliers.
  
• Assist the order processing team as needed.
  

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supplier Evaluation: Assess suppliers considering price quality availability and other relevant factors to ensure optimal purchasing decisions.
  
• Purchase Verification: Verify all purchases against a master list recommending costeffective and relevant alternatives when necessary.
  
• Supplier Interaction: Coordinate with suppliers to arrange delivery schedules and address any shipping discrepancies.
  
• Payment Authorization: Authorize payments and maintain comprehensive records of receipts transactions and inventories.
  
• Inventory Management: Create and manage product assemblies within the company s inventory software ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  
• Industry Trends: Advise the VP of Operations on relevant industry trade shows and events to stay updated on market trends and develop supplier relationships.
  
• Order Processing Assistance: Provide support to the order processing team as needed to ensure seamless operations.
  

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent or similar role.
  
• Background in construction or engineering preferred
• Strong understanding of supply chain management and inventory control.
  
• Excellent negotiation communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Proficiency in inventory management software.
  
• Strong organizational and timemanagement skills.
  
• Ability to work collaboratively and follow the direction and counsel of the VP of Operations.
