3. Summary of the opportunity
Client Overview: The Coalition is looking for a highly creative and motivated Background Vista Artist to join their team. The Coalition is an industryleading technology company specializing in video game production.
Role Summary: As an Intermediate Background Vista Artist you will be responsible for interpreting visual written and verbal direction to produce complex 3D and matte painted elements. Your expertise in perspective lighting color and form will contribute to creating backgrounds that meet the games tone and production timelines.
4. What are the key responsibilities
Responsibilities and Duties:
Create previsualized vista concept mockups to interpret art intention in the conceptual stage.
Translate written and verbal direction into visual solutions.
Generate skies terrain and materials using content creation software sculpt and layout assets based on art direction and concepts.
Collaborate with art direction and design to ensure concepts meet game play and visual expectations.
Create 3D assets digital matte paintings and image projections.
Overcome visual and technical challenges with multiple solutions.
Work within established production deadlines.
5. What experience are we looking for to drive success
MUSTHave Skills and Qualifications:
3 years of experience in video game or film production.
3 years of experience in video game or film production.
Ability to create and manipulate 3D and 2.5D elements to complement matte painted midgrounds and backgrounds.
Expertise in visual composition and lighting design.
Deep understanding of color tone and lighting.
Deep understanding of visual storytelling.
Highly collaborative individual who values feedback and direction.
Knowledge of UE5 is an asset.
